It’s an old expression, but one that is often misquoted. The “with God” is the piece that is forgotten. God
resides within every one of us. Say what? Yes, God resides within every one of us. He communicates with us
in many ways. All we have to do is listen to and feel Him. “So, you want to ask me to do something for
someone? Please give me the name. What do you want me to do? Do not hesitate to ask much. Speak
sincerely to me of the poor you would console, of the sick you see suffering, of the strayed you long to see
return, and of those absent friends you want at your side again. Say at least one word for each, the ardent
word of a friend.“ When life gives you lemons, make lemonade with God Life is full of challenges, and
sometimes it feels like we’re handed more than we can bear. But the truth is, with God by our side, we are
never truly alone in facing those struggles. It’s in these moments, when the weight of the world feels too
heavy, that we are called to trust in His guidance and let Him turn our burdens into blessings. Whether it’s
healing for a loved one, peace in a time of chaos, or strength to carry on, God is always listening, ready to
turn the sourness of life into something sweet..
Yet, it’s easy to forget this in the midst of pain or frustration. We get caught up in the whirlwind of trying to fix

things on our own. But the true beauty of faith lies in surrender—letting go of the need to control every
outcome and allowing God to work through us. When we invite Him into the process, even the hardest
situations can transform into moments of growth, love, and grace. Just as we cannot make lemonade
without a sweetener, we cannot overcome life’s obstacles without the strength that comes from within, from
God. Trusting God doesn’t mean we won’t face hardship. It means that, in every hardship, there is an
opportunity to see His hand at work. And through that trust, we begin to realize that everything—even the
most bitter moments—can be a part of something greater, something that will eventually lead to joy and
peace.
